Former and Current Biology Students Excel in Their Field

The Areté Society is proud to announce the following academic achievements of two of our most recent Honors College Scholars:

  • Ms. Claudia Gonzalez, a native of Panama and May 2011 Honors College Scholar, was accepted into the Ph.D. Program in Environmental Toxicology at Duke University. In addition to this great accomplishment, she was also accepted into the Ph.D. Program in Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Texas at Austin.
  • Ms. Brittany Suggs, also a May 2011 Honors College Scholar, was accepted into the Ph.D. program in Molecular Genetics at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

In addition to the success of our recent Honors College Scholars, two current students have also been accepted into summer internship programs in their field.

  • Ms. Ashleah Courtney was accepted into the Summer Science Research Internship Program at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
  • Ms. Katherine Moore was accepted into the Summer Medical Education Program at the University of Texas School of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
